2026 EXXXOTICA Minneapolis Preview

This is the first time EXXXOTICA has landed in downtown Minneapolis. I wasn’t sure about the new location initially and didn’t plan to attend. But when I saw a fairly cheap ($277) direct flight from LAS to MSP, I jumped on it and brought ImagesbyRay along for the ride.

I believe the new dress code rules are due to the convention’s center strict rules and not from exxxotica as Chicago had no issues with any of the above. Minneapolis also had very strict rules on what goes on the show floors. For examples, performers were no longer allowed to do lap dances or pose intimate photos with fans, etc. This really blows (and not in a good way) for performers that’s already there as that’s how most of them make their money..

Note we were only there for 2 days (Day 1 and Day 2) as I had a feeling Day 3 would be super slow.. even exxxotica’s resident emcee J Randall called Day 3 as the “leftovers” His word not mine.. Anyway if you can pick one day to go, it’s ALWAYS Saturday (Day 2) hands down.
While I’m not sure what the attendance numbers are, I’m going to bet this has to be one of the lowest performing cities exxxotica’s been to. I highly doubt they’ll be returning here next year. I’m guessing they’ve picked this city/date was hoping to attract some of the 200k attendees from the annual pride parade.
As we bid farewell to the twin cities, definitely looking forward to the next exxxotica, which is New Jersey (that’s always one of their biggest show of the year) October 23-25 so mark your calendars!
